Dear Son's Chapel Volunteers,
Erin Go Bragh! The Chapel's 17 Leprechauns "being seen wearing the green..." St. Patrick's Day was a NICE, warm, bright, sun-shiny day; the daffodils (planted by A and M) have sprouted and some have begun to bloom. Enjoying soup lunch were 25, including Evan, 5 husbands, and guests.
One frame of quilts was "turned" today, on the final turn! "The last leg..." "The end is near..." YEA! J embroidered 2 sets of squares (Sunbonnet Sue and Dapper Dan) and a "Now I Lay Me..." crib-sized panel. E and N finished quilting two quilts at home. And one quilt was sold today. Guest - C.R. joined us for lunch and donated a box of her mother's crafts. A thank you note will be sent to her.
Trying to get this Tuesday, quilting recap quickly written and sent out early, as the local, Dixon Street Pub Crawl will be starting shortly... will I be seeing you there? ha! ha! Did you have the O'Boyle traditional Irish menu of corned beef and cabbage dinner, soda bread and green beer for St. Patrick's Day?
I-rishing 'tis true... good friends like you are treasures to behold... More magical than rainbows, more valuable than gold! With Spring's official arrival this week, hoping for a "pot of gold" of continuous sunny days, warm weather, luck and good health throughout the year.
