May 20th Quilting

Heard that you missed my news recap last week and me! Tee! Hee! I was in *** for my Aunt fell, had multiple fractures and was hospitalized. But had lots of activity today, plus the soup luncheon, with 20 working and a stitch 'n. The Chapel's Singer sewing machine is broken! Boo! Hoo! Found this out when both M. and I attempted to stitch up a frayed seam for T. We'll be relying on R.H., P's husband, hopefully for a quick fix/repair! This machine is very special for it was won and donated by M, for her 1st place lavender, flower, print quilt at the Springdale Wal-Mart Quilt Contest.
The two pastel blue quilts, 'bear in the block' pattern, are almost finished; so N. volunteered tocomplete them at home. S. purchased black bear fabric on-line, so now we'll be enlarging the prints for the embroidered squares to match the bear fabric, a twin-bed quilt for her granddaughter. S. dropped off the custom templates made by B. for marking the BIG wedding quilt. NOW, the big task of marking ALL those ampersands (remember that definition?)! Hope you got to see M's latest project, a BIG, puffy, tied quilt, with plaid squares for husband/Howard and their Colorado cabin. We're short on BLACK embroidery floss/thread, if anyone has or finds some on sale.
